::-moz-focus-outer pseudo-element has been removed

Categories: CSS

Releases: Firefox 81

The non-standard, obscure ::-moz-focus-outer pseudo-element, disabled on the Nightly channel since Firefox 78, has been removed from all channels as of Firefox 80. It had been implemented since Firefox 30 as a hack to show a focus outline around <input type="range">, but is no longer needed in the user agent stylesheet as all form controls can now display an outline.

If you’d like to customize the outline for some reason, :focus { outline: ... } can be used instead.
